Flattened patch of grass
beside the river, and a
startled stork rising.
For haiku heights September challenge. The prompt is grass.
very nice imagery
I wonder what the stork is startled by.. us, trying to “reel” him, or maybe the grass itself? Quite nice..
I had in mind storks carrying babies, which is a traditional explanation for where babies come from in my culture…
Very nice. Ah yes, the stork bringing the baby 🙂 My granny used to tell me they came from under the gooseberry bush….LOL
I like this one…
I love the picture you created today with your haiku. I am partial to storks 🙂
I’m glad I read your reply in the comments. Knowing what you had in mind added a special dimension to an already lovely haiku.
Such a lovely capture of summer day ~
Like the stork, I am often startled. Unlike the stork, I don’t rise very high or very gracefully!
really liking the startled stork
Oh! What a lovely image! Beautiful!
