Autumn bonfires –
above boys playing football,
smoke floats, like myths.
For September Haiku Heights – today’s prompt is ‘myth’.
Ah yes! The boys of autumn! Here the myths are around baseball not soccer.
Very imaginative Haiku!
So poetic and!!
And as Usha madam said… Imaginative!
Something in me protests, saying, “Myths are more substantial than smoke. They persist, while smoke dissipates.”
Old Women Chatter
Ah – but maybe the bonfires keep burning….and smoke persists in damp autumn too. It’s the shifting, smoky nature of myths that I was thinking of, I guess. (plus myth rhymes with mist, sort of…).
