September Haiku Challenge – Week 4
Evening walk (any subject) – Sept 25
Two buzzards calling;
autumn fields swim through evening,
and you’re in my arms.
Lost – Sept 24
Lost in summer rain,
ancient city towers blur
and cobbles glisten.
Waterfall – Sept 23
like lovers’ wanton yearning,
making autumn mists.
Bull’s eye (Torero) – Sept 22
Reflecting a boy,
dark bull’s eye. Now he will learn
if he’s yet a man?
Bubbles – Sept 21
Raindrops as bubbles
from autumn’s soda siphon
clouding my whisky.
Feather – Sept 20
laid on supermarket shelves
in cold fulfilment.
Bold – Sept 19
the mouse edged towards the cheese,
but cats are patient.
Bravo little mouse, don’t be afraid of big bullies!! 😀 😀
And trust me , mouse may succeed… in having a bite..before becoming one..
Clever and cute! Lovely piece.
I want to know who wins this round!
Twice Bold here and here
Cat and mouse! Didn’t think of that one.
Unfeathered chickens and bold mouse…Nice haiku ~
Clever use of the prompt word!! 😀
the first one is so vivid, wow, enjoyed the imagery.
The first is my favorite…I love the imagery, but I also like the game of cat and mouse…curious as to the winner
Pity the poor featherless chickens! (I do, since I’m a vegetarian!)
Cloudy whisky…drinkable? Or spittable?
love the last line, creative.
Whisky: buerk. Rain: worse. I see what drove you to the whisky.
It was raining here last night. I don’t drink whisky, but allowed the image to run!
Bubbly bubbles to cheer up on a gloomy rainy night!! Glad it was no whiskey that inspired you!! 🙂
Clever take on the prompt..liked the last two 🙂
All three are well done…the last reminded me of Tom and Jerry 🙂
Three great haiku.
I think my favourite was the patient cat one.
Toro Toro!! 🙂 Ah une corrida!! 😀
liked the oxymoron cold fulfilment……
I would not like to be torero-close to a bull’s eye! 🙂
Door as Bull’s-Eye
Loved it alll!!!
U seemed to be a food lover by nature!
Cheese, wanton, soda, whiskey…what a combo!
Great experience reading it!
~Keep the Spark ALive..
A scenic waterfall!! Marvelous place to be and enjoy the fall!!
I like that lover’s wanton yearning….
Bull’s eye.. interesting test for a man….~
What a steamy tale you tell in your watery haiku! 🙂
My Watery Haiku
#21 made me smile!
An outline of a lovely blurred landscape painted with your words!! Great effect!!
Oh My, oh my — love them all BUT my favorite is the naked birds in the supermarket shelves — classic!
autumn fields swim through evening….what a beautiful line
evening walk & lost…very special!
lovely…lost is my favourite, glistening cobbles…i am in Rome once again!
What a lot of scrolling down to leave a little comment! Beautiful haiku.
Yeah what Viv has pointed out is true!! 🙂 So I will leave an extra long comment here today!! 🙂
The common buzzard don’t know the exact name is what I have seen here!!
in their spectacular display known as ‘the roller coaster’. when he will rise high up in the sky, to turn and plummet downward, in a spiral, twisting and turning as he comes down, and then he rises immediately upward to repeat the exercise.Always scared me!! Sometimes flew away with a chicken or a little bird, with a shrill call similar to a cat’s meow….going eeee…aay!!
your words roll with wit.
lovely Haiku on free style prompt.
Phew, yeah I do like ‘Waterfall’ and the Bullfighting one too!
The juxtaposed images of buzzards and lovers startles me–which is what you intended, of course! 🙂
