A lemon tree

Unexpectedly
suspended yellow
against blue;
lemons amongst leaves,
anticipate
juice-shocked
tongues.

There was a lemon tree in the small courtyard garden of the second cottage where we stayed. To my Northern European eyes this was very exotic.
